There’s a trifecta of holidays — Halloween, Day of the Dead, and Diwali — over the next few days, which means lots of food to eat and drinks to sip on around town. Here’s a taste of just a few.

Halloween

Heritage Restaurant in Humboldt Park

You’ve heard of Red Lobster, but what about Dread Lobster? Available through Sunday, the special menu features poached lobster tails, lobster rolls, and lobster pizza.

Looking for plans on Halloween night? Try different cocktails while hearing spooky stories at the South Side spot.

Central Park Bar in Avondale

Speaking of drinks on Halloween, sip on more themed drinks at the Northwest Side bar during its Emo Night Thursday. Get there early, and you can enjoy half-price happy hour.

🍬 Plus, if you haven’t picked up Halloween candy yet, consider skipping the big box stores and shop at one of these neighborhood gems.

Day of the Dead

Getting pan de muerto, or sweetened bread, for Day of the Dead this week? The family-owned bakery has been serving Chicagoans for 20 years. You can also make your own bread nearby at La Luna Friday.

La Josie in Fulton Market

The Mexican restaurant is celebrating all night Sunday with themed drinks, a DJ, and calavera face painting. Bonus points if you dress up.

Diwali

Sifr in River North

Usually known for its Middle Eastern food, Sifr is serving a four-course meal in honor of the festival of lights featuring classic Indian dishes with new twists Sunday. The team is also behind Indienne, Chicago’s first Indian Michelin–starred restaurant.

Get Diwali gift boxes and trays of sweet and savory bites for an upcoming celebration. The family-owned store also ships 📦
