Scoring a Mother’s Day brunch reservation can be tough. But no need to scramble before the holiday next weekend: Chicago City Casters are sharing our favorite Mother’s Day brunch plans to help inspire you.

City Cast Chicago podcast host Jacoby Cochran wants to take his mom to the Southern–style brunch spot that opened in Hyde Park this winter. They have smoked salmon deviled eggs, cornbread French toast, and plenty of vegan options 🤤

City Cast Chicago producer Michelle Navarro has La Josie on the brain. The 2023 Michelin Bib Gourmand Award winner in West Loop serves dulce de leche toast and carnitas skillets. They also have three agave bars, including one on a rooftop.

City Cast Chicago executive producer Simone Alicea wants to go back to for the best French toast she’s ever had at the Lincoln Park (or Olympia Fields) location. The only problem? They don't take reservations 😥

Your fav newsletter editor’s mom doesn’t like waking up early nor does she enjoy brunch. That’s why I’d take her to this Bridgeport eatery that opens later in the day and celebrates her Korean–Polish heritage.

City Cast client success coordinator Tim Hano’s go-to brunch spot is Ann Sather on the North Side — his mom loves the cinnamon rolls.

City Cast Chicago senior account executive Bob Ziltz said he doesn’t come from a big brunch family, but the Logan Square restaurant has great food and vibes.

City Cast marketing coordinator Mariah McBride’s mom loves the mimosa flight — look at the cotton candy flavor — at the Lincoln Park restaurant that has been serving brunch for more than 85 years.

City Cast marketing coordinator Jermaine Thomas II knows his mom likes a burger, and this South Loop spot delivers.
